Voxli is an online voice chat service. It is so easy to start a conversation and then send a link to the people you want to chat with (It really is just that easy!). You do not even need to set up an account (you can if you want). Another cool thing is the 200 person limit. The "push to talk" feature is also very nice. Voice chatting is huge in the gaming industry and I do see many educational aspects to this.
- If you are going to be gone, but will still have access to your computer, you could set up a voice chat for your students to go on and ask questions.
- Great for distance education courses as a way to "connect" with students.
- Have students from different schools discuss or debate a certain topic
- Read a book to someone in a different country or classroom
- Broadcast lectures and still be able to get student responses
